Towards our shared vision

Four years later, the VELUX core values is reconfirmed but with a slightly different interpretation. At the end of the conference, Lars Kann-Rasmussen hands over the management of the VELUX group to Jørgen Tang-Jensen with a baseball bat and a request to “go home and help realize the VELUX vision”.

“By working to fulfill your vision and our shared vision for VELUX, we will be whizzing on a rocket into the 21st century. We will travel together and it will be demanding, challenging and much more fun than traveling to Mars” From Lars Kann-Rasmussen's closing speech

New horizons

2005 EVIAN, FRANCE

The VELUX Group’s new vision is launched: “To lead the development of better living environments with daylight and fresh air through the roof”. This is the first time VMG has used future scenarios in the strategy process, looking at both societal mega-trends and different scenarios for VELUX. The new visual identity is also presented at the conference, including the idea that the brand promise “Bringing light to life” is written by hand.

“Our vision is not completely new, but adjusted to ‘Daylight and fresh air through the roof’. We will no longer limit it to sloped roofs, but indicate that we might start looking into flat roof solutions. (…) Who knows, it could be my personal ambition that within the next 10-15 years, our position in the flat roof market is as strong as our position in the sloped roof market” CEO Jørgen Tang-Jensen

Our culture and the committed and loyal efforts of the VELUX team are crucial in everything we do"
